IIT Palakkad is Kerala's IIT. It is younger than the older IITs, with smaller batches and a campus that is still filling in. Entry is only through JEE Advanced. Students trade brand age for class size and a growing research floor.
The permanent campus is at Kanjikode, on the Palakkad plain near the Tamil Nadu border, with hostels and academic blocks in active use.
